After School Program Support Worker

The BBBAA is presently accepting applications for a Support Worker for our After-School Program. We require enthusiastic and skilled individuals with experience in adapting programs and building positive relationships. This position will be responsible for working with children with varying special needs and working one-on-one. The hours of work are Monday – Friday, from 2:00 – 6:00pm.

 

Education:

A minimum of two (2) years post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Therapeutic Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Childcare, Psychology, etc.). The candidate must have experience working with children with special needs and have a good understanding of behavior and positive behavioral approaches.

 Applications are required to submit the following:

  • Emergency First Aid/CPR or Standard First Aid/CPR
  • Current RCMP Code of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development considered an asset
