Snowshoe Rental Program

NOTE: Rentals will be FREE of charge during the week of our winter carnival (February 8 - 18, 2024)

​

We are pleased to introduce our very own snowshoe rental program. Thanks to the support of Government of NL’s Community Healthy Living Fund we were able to purchase 22 sets of snowshoes in 2021 for use within the region. We have 3 options for rentals of our snowshoes:

 

Daily Rental during Weekdays

• Rentals between 9:00am – 4:00pm between Monday to Friday

• Cost: $5.00/set for a 5-hour rental

• All rental requests must be emailed to bookings@bbrlc.com and payment must be received by EMT or cash/debit/credit

• Rentals can be picked up at the Lifestyle Centre – an email will be sent once they are ready.

• All rentals must be returned to the Lifestyle Centre by 9:00pm on the same day as they were picked up.

 

Weekend Rental

• Rentals from Friday – Monday

• Cost: $15.00/set

• All rental requests must be emailed to bookings@bbrlc.com and payment must be received by EMT or cash/debit/credit

• Rentals can be pickup on Fridays before 9:00pm at the Lifestyle Centre – an email will be sent once they are ready.

• All rentals must be returned to the Lifestyle Centre by 9:00pm on Monday.

 

1 Week Rental

• 1-week rentals can be done at any time during the week and you will be given a full 7 days before returning

• Cost: $25.00/set

• All rental requests must be emailed to bookings@bbrlc.com and payment must be received by EMT or cash/debit/credit

• Rentals can be pickup before 9:00pm at the Lifestyle Centre – an email will be sent once they are ready.

• All rentals must be returned to the Lifestyle Centre by 9:00pm on the date indicted on rental agreement

 

Un-Returned & Damaged Snowshoes:

If snowshoes are not returned by the date indicated on the rental agreement, an email reminder will be sent. If after 1 week and we do not have a return, a final reminder will be sent via email and a phone call will be made to ensure messages are being received. If snowshoes are not returned after the final reminder, the renters credit card will be charged for the full amount that the snowshoes were purchased for ($135.00). Any snowshoes that are returned with damages are the renters responsibility. Any unreasonable or excessive damage to the snowshoes will result in a $100 charge to the renter.

 

How to complete online rentals:

Please allow 24 hours to process the rental request as we will need to make sure that the size you are requesting is available for rental – Ex. do not request rentals an hour before you need to use them.

 

• Go to bbrlc.ca and download a rental request form. Send the fully completed form and EMT payment to bookings@bbrlc.com (payment by cash/debit/credit can be done during pick up).

• You can also visit us at the Lifestyle Centre to complete the request form (please note: if you stop by and pay by EMT we have to confirm receipt of payment before we can give you the snowshoes)

• Wait for a confirmation from BBRLC office staff letting you know when and where to pick up your rental.

Sizing Chart & Available Sizes:

The weight capacity is for use on ungroomed trails. If you are using a groomed trail, you can exceed the weight limit a bit.

*Not-for-profit groups, local schools, and other community groups who are interested in a bulk rental for a unguided group hike, please reach out to Carla at recreation@bbbaa.ca to discuss options. Please give lots of notice to ensure all sizes that you need are not rented out!
